Software for South African security companies

Peak Software builds guard patrol and security company software: NFC checkpoints that prove a round was done, live location, push-to-talk, incident reports and client portals. The app carries your company's name and brand in the App Store and Google Play, and the data is yours.

Proof that the patrol happened

Clients pay for patrols they can't see. A patrol system turns each round into a record.

  • NFC checkpoints on the route. Guards tap each tag with their phone, and the time and place are logged.
  • Routes and schedules per site, so the system knows which rounds are due.
  • Missed-patrol alerts to the control room when a checkpoint isn't tapped on time.
  • Shift start and end, with the guard's location at check-in.
  • Panic and man-down alerts from the guard's phone.

Field communication

  • Push-to-talk on the phones your team already carries, by site or by group.
  • Live location for guards and response vehicles on a control-room map.
  • Messages and instructions from the control room to one guard or a whole site.
  • Works on ordinary Android phones and iPhones, with no radios or special hardware unless you want them.

Incidents and client reports

  • Incident reports with photos, voice notes, times and places, sent while they're fresh.
  • Occurrence book entries kept digitally per site.
  • Daily or weekly patrol reports sent to each client automatically.
  • A client portal where each client sees their own sites, reports and patrol records, and nothing else.
  • Quotes, bookings and invoices for once-off guarding and events.

Built for the field

Guards work at night, outside, often with poor signal. We design for that: big buttons, few steps, dark screens that are easy to read at night, and records that save on the phone and send when signal comes back.

Your brand, not a generic product

Off-the-shelf patrol products put their name in front of your clients. A system built for you carries your company's name and logo in the stores, in the app and on every report. Your clients see your brand, and the data sits on your accounts.

We build to POPIA from day one: the least access possible, access by role, and a record of what the system does.

Rollout

We work remotely with security companies across South Africa.

  • A short call about your sites, shifts, routes and reports today.
  • A written plan and one fixed price, before work starts.
  • A first stage, often patrol proof and incident reports, tested on one site.
  • Then more sites, push-to-talk, client portals and the rest, in stages.
  • The optional care plan, from R800 a month, keeps it running.

Questions

How does a guard patrol system work?

Tags are fixed at checkpoints around a site. Guards tap each tag with a phone on their round, and the system logs the time and place. Missed checkpoints raise an alert, and clients get reports of each patrol.

Should we use NFC tags or QR codes for checkpoints?

NFC tags are harder to copy, work in the dark and through dirt, and survive outdoors for years. QR codes are cheaper but can be photographed and scanned from anywhere, which weakens the proof.

Does it work without signal?

Yes. Taps, reports and photos are saved on the phone and sent when it reconnects, with the original times kept.

Can our clients see the patrol reports?

Yes. A client portal shows each client their own sites, patrol records and incident reports, and reports can also be emailed automatically.

What does a guard patrol system cost?

It depends on the number of sites and guards, which features you need (patrols, push-to-talk, live location, client portal), and what it must connect to. We quote one fixed price on your spec before work starts.
