Mobile app development for South African businesses

Peak Software designs, builds and publishes apps for iPhone, Android and Windows. Your app is listed in the App Store, Google Play and the Microsoft Store under your business name, and you own the code and the accounts. Every build is quoted on your spec, with one fixed price before work starts.

What we build

Most business apps do one of three jobs: serve customers, run a team, or take money. Many do all three.

  • Customer apps: bookings, orders, accounts, loyalty and notifications.
  • Staff and field-team apps: jobs, check-ins, live location, photos and reports.
  • Apps that take payment: quotes, invoices, deposits and receipts inside the app.
  • Apps for equipment and stock: tap a phone on a tag to see what an item is and who has it.
  • Push-to-talk and team messaging for people who work on foot or on the road.
  • Apps that work with the systems you already use, so nobody types things in twice.

Published under your name

Your app goes into the stores on your own developer accounts, so the listing says your business name, not ours. We help you open the accounts, prepare the store listing, screenshots and privacy details, and take the app through each store's review.

We check the app against each store's rules before we submit it. Most rejections come from small things: a missing privacy link, a test login the reviewer can't use, or a screen that still shows sample text. Catching those first saves days.

How a build runs

  • A short call about what the app must do and who uses it.
  • A written plan: the screens, the users, what it connects to, and the stages.
  • One fixed price for the plan, agreed before work starts.
  • We build in stages. You test each stage on your own phone as it grows.
  • We publish to the stores and fix anything that comes up in the first 30 days.

What you own

Everything. The code, the store listings, the developer accounts, the data and the hosting accounts are in your business's name. If you ever want another developer to take over, they get it all, with nothing held back.

After launch

Phones and stores change every year. Apple and Google update their rules and their operating systems, and an app that nobody looks after starts to break.

The optional care plan, from R800 a month, covers monitoring, fixes, support, maintenance and hosting, so the app keeps working. New features are quoted on their own, the same way as the first build.

We work remotely with businesses across South Africa, so where you're based doesn't matter.

Questions

Do you build for iPhone and Android at the same time?

Yes. One build can run on both iPhone and Android, which usually costs far less than two separate apps. We can add Windows when your customers or staff use it.

Whose name is on the App Store listing?

Yours. The app is published on your own developer accounts, under your business name. We help you set the accounts up and handle the listing and review.

Who owns the code?

You do. The code, the store accounts and the data are yours, and you get everything if you ever move to another developer.

How long does an app take?

It depends on what the app must do. The written plan gives a timeline for each stage before you agree to anything. A focused first version that does one job well is much quicker than an app that tries to do everything at once.

Do you work with businesses anywhere in South Africa?

Yes. Peak Software works remotely, so we build for businesses across South Africa. Calls, demos and testing all happen online.
